I Believe the Best Is Around the Bend

Good morning, friends.

Today’s #WednesdayWisdom post is brought to you by Thursday because, well, all of the days are running together at this point anyway.🤷🏼‍♀️ On one hand, things feel shaky...unsettled...uncertain. I’m a Type A/Enneagram 1 who likes lists and routine and productivity. But I have none of that right now. I’m trying to figure out this new and temporary (yet not brief) normal of being at home almost all the time with my husband and kids. Of cooking (not my favorite). Of homeschooling (never wanted to do it, still don’t). Of trying to determine what projects to do and what to put on hold. I work for small businesses, and they’re getting hit hard right now.

But on the other hand...I feel like I’ve been given the gift of time to do some of the things I’ve been wanting to do but never making the time for. I have this amazing opportunity to take a step back. To rest and breathe and plan and evaluate and lay by the pool and read fiction and play with my kids and watch movies and clean out drawers. To finally spend time doing my own business website instead of one for a client. To go on walks with friends (in an appropriate social distancing environment, of course). To have FaceTime and phone conversations with family.

I don’t want to downplay the seriousness of what’s going on in the world, but I do want to make the most of this time. I believe that we can all learn some really important lessons so that when this is all said and done, the best really is around the bend.🧡
